According to official sources checked on October 25, 2026, the Claude Team plan serves 2–150 people and includes Claude Code with both seat types. Standard seats cost $25 per seat per month on monthly billing or $20 per month with annual billing, excluding tax.[1],[2]
Buying Claude for teams involves choosing a seat type for each member. Standard and Premium seats can be mixed within a team. Both include Claude Code, and Premium provides five times the usage of Standard. These plan details were checked on October 25, 2026.[2],[1]
The allowance attached to each seat, purchased usage credits, and monthly API credits have separate rules. This guide explains each in turn, then compares the documented Claude Team setup with Kollab's workspace offering.[2],[3],[4],[5]
What does Claude Team cost?
| Comparison | Monthly billing, per seat per month | Annual billing, monthly equivalent per seat | Included usage relationship |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $25.[1] | $20.[1] | 1.25 times the Pro session allowance.[2] |
| Premium | $125.[1] | $100.[1] | 6.25 times the Pro session allowance; five times Standard usage.[2],[1] |
Official Claude Team pricing, checked October 25, 2026. Prices are in USD and exclude tax. Annual figures below are monthly equivalents under annual billing.[1]
Notes
Does each Team seat include Claude Code?
Both Standard and Premium Team seats include Claude Code. The same subscription supports Claude on the web, mobile and desktop, as well as Claude Code in the terminal. Supported IDE use is also metered under the plan. Official access rules were checked on October 25, 2026.[7],[1]
A seat's included usage still has limits. Select the seat type with those limits in mind, including the coding work each member expects to do.[2]
How do Claude Team usage limits work?
Included seat allowances apply to individual members. A member's unused allowance cannot be transferred to another member. Standard and Premium both have weekly limits in addition to their session allowances. These rules were checked on October 25, 2026.[2]
The allowance multiples describe relative session usage. They do not establish a fixed token budget.[2]
What happens when a member reaches the included allowance?
Team can purchase usage credits in advance. After a member exhausts the allowance included with their seat, those credits support continued use at API rates. Owners can set organization and individual spending limits. These extra-use rules were checked on October 25, 2026.[3]
Purchased usage credits involve additional payment. Account for that spending separately from the seat subscription when planning a team budget.[3]
How do monthly API credits differ from seat allowances?
Eligible Team subscriptions receive monthly API credits of $20 per Standard seat and $100 per Premium seat. The team pool is capped at $500 per month. Credits are claimed into one Console organization, and the claim opens once the team has been on an eligible plan for seven days. Unused credits do not roll over and expire at the end of each billing cycle. These official benefit rules were checked on October 25, 2026.[4]
The API credit benefit has its own coverage rules. It does not pay for interactive Claude Code or extra usage inside Claude apps.[4],[7] The API credits guide separately describes eligible self-run claude -p and Agent SDK use with an API key from the linked Console organization.[4]
This creates two different answers to a question about pooling. Included seat allowances remain individual; the monthly API credit benefit has a team pool.[2],[4]
How does Team compare with a workspace option?
| Comparison | Claude Team | Kollab workspace |
|---|---|---|
| How is member access described? | 2–150 people, with Standard and Premium seats that can be mixed.[2] | Public pages list unlimited team seats.[5],[8] |
| What usage allocation is documented? | Included seat allowances are individual; eligible monthly API credits have a team pool.[2],[4] | Public pages describe one shared credit balance for everyone in the workspace.[8],[5] |
| What coding or media capabilities are documented? | Both seat types include Claude Code.[7] | Public pages describe chat, image and video capabilities, scheduled workflows, and CLI access to cloud capabilities.[5],[9] |
| What administration is documented? | Owners can set organization and individual spending limits for purchased usage credits.[3] | All plans include team administration and roles. Administrators can view member usage rankings (top 20). Checked 2026-10-26.[8] |
The table keeps the documented Claude Team rules alongside Kollab's public workspace capabilities. Claude Team rules were checked on October 25, 2026. Kollab team administration and member usage rankings were checked on October 26, 2026.[2],[8]
Notes
Kollab is a workspace option for teams considering multimodal generation, scheduled work and CLI access together. Free permits up to 5 active scheduled tasks; Pro and Max permit up to 30. Image and video generation are listed across all three plans and consume shared credits; model access varies by plan. Its CLI lets agents that can install a Skill and run terminal commands call Kollab's cloud capabilities. These statements reflect public documentation checked on October 25, 2026.[5],[9]
Before you start
The rules and public descriptions behind these steps were checked on October 25, 2026.
What should a team check before choosing?
- 1
Step 1
Match members to seat types. Use the documented Standard and Premium allowances to plan a mix of seats for a team of 2–150 people.[2]
- 2
Step 2
Plan any additional spending. Review the purchased usage-credit mechanism and its organization and individual spending limits.[3]
- 3
Step 3
Check API-credit eligibility separately. Review the linked Console organization requirement and coverage for the intended API workflow.[4]
- 4
Step 4
Compare the work the team needs to do. Review Claude Code access alongside Kollab's documented media generation, scheduled workflows and CLI capabilities.[7],[5],[9]
